Farming and Mining Side Quests
( Game Feature Still In Development )
Tshwaneville boasts designated areas within the game world where players can engage in mining or farming activities. Players can use their in-game tools to gather resources or plant crops, which can then be used for crafting, trading, or selling. Successful mining or farming actions can be rewarded with XPNC tokens or unique items. The resources found or crops grown can reflect South African elements, such as mining for precious minerals or growing indigenous crops
This Side Quest will involve the follwoing elements ;
Farming for Skill Items: Players can engage in farming activities to collect specific skill items, such as a shovel, that are required to access certain missions or activities in the town hall. By successfully farming and acquiring these skill items, players demonstrate their dedication and commitment to developing their abilities within the game.
Trading with Characters: Once players have obtained the required skill items, they can interact with specific in-game characters, such as a farmer character, who acts as a gatekeeper to the next level of missions. Players can trade their collected skill items, such as the shovel, in exchange for access to a screening process. This screening process can involve submitting a 1-minute video or completing a specific task to demonstrate their interest and suitability for volunteering at a particular location or organization.
Seamless Integration: The process of mining and trading skill items becomes a seamless and creative way to incorporate screening processes into the game. By aligning the acquisition of skill items with the desired volunteering opportunities, players are motivated to continue farming and mining, as it directly impacts their ability to participate in more meaningful missions.
Daily Quests: Integrated through the farm/mine, a system of daily quests that offer players new objectives to complete each day. These quests can vary in difficulty and range from simple tasks to more complex missions. By completing the daily quests, players earn XPNC tokens, unique items, or unlock additional content. The quests can be tied to South African culture, history, or landmarks, encouraging players to explore different aspects of the game world and learn about the country's rich heritage whilst working at the 'farm'.
This approach not only encourages players to engage in farming and mining activities but also adds depth and realism to the game world. It creates a sense of progression and accomplishment as players earn and utilize their acquired skills to unlock new opportunities within the game. By connecting these activities to the volunteering experience and incorporating screening processes, players are more deeply engaged with the game's narrative and purpose.
